Need to get an engagement ring and pick out a band.. HELP?

Sunday Feb 28, 2010

From the attention I have paid, she likes a round center stone that "pops".. She likes unique, but not trendy. She mentioned that antique style or vintage rings would be cool.. She likes white gold.. I need to get all of it for $2500.. Are there places I can look around online? I’ve been to a few places around Little Rock where I live, but haven’t seen much..

Try looking on line. It can’t hurt! You will find places that can give you that ‘popping’ diamond. You don’t need to have a super large stone to create a brilliant experience. Try http://www.diamonring.com or http://www.pricescope.com as places that can help you locate a diamond and setting for your ideal budget.

Good Luck!

Well from talking with friends not sure if the best thing to do is order from overstock.com but they do have a cool feature that might help you find what you are looking for. Below is the link to the engagement ring section on there site. You will see words that in a box above that say like gold, white gold, silver, there is a price range section ect. You can click the section such as price range 1,000-2000 dollars, then click white gold, then click the karat you want. The site will narrow down the search and show you pics of the rings in that narrowed down section. Not sure if other sites do this but if they do it might help you with what you are trying to do.

She’s given you some great pointers to get something she’ll like. Her tastes sound like mine.

You can definitely get it in your price range. Check google images to get an idea of what antique style engagement rings look like: http://images.google.ca/images?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=1R2SNNT_en&q=antique%20style%20engagement%20set&lr=&oq=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi

I got my wife’s ring at Diamond Brokers of Florida:

http://www.dbof.com/

Or you could check out these other online sources:

http://www.WhiteFlash.com

http://www.GoodOldGold.com

http://www.ExcelDiamonds.com

http://www.BlueNile.com

Blue Nile’s database is good, but they don’t provide you with photos or analysis reports (ASET, Isee2, B-scope, etc) of the diamond. I wouldn’t go with them for that reason.

Happy hunting.

Without a doubt, look online. Online diamond retailers have low overhead, so they can afford to sell their rings for up to 50% less than stores can. That means that you can find the exact same diamond engagement ring online that you would in-store… but for up to half price.

Try http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/ or http://design.jared-diamonds.com/engagement-rings/?Nic=0 to see exactly what I mean.

I bought my now-wife a James Allen engagement rings and we both couldn’t be happier. She adores it, and I earned major brownie points.

James Allen gave me free shipping, a cash back guarantee, excellent customer service and the ring came in a gorgeous presentation box.

Good luck!
