Where can I find the perfect engagement ring for my girlfriend?

Sunday Dec 27, 2009

I plan on proposing to my girlfriend as soon as I find the right ring. The problem is that I don’t really know where to begin my search. When it comes to her clothing, she really loves old glamour and vintage styles so I would appreciate it if you could provide me with the best place to find a ring with these themes. Or if not I was wondering if it is ok to propose to her first and then let her chose the ring for me to buy? Would this be better because my brother said that would be strange. I would ask one of her friends to help me but I am afraid they would tell her about my plans. Thanks in advance.

www.sunjewelry.com They have vintage looking engagement rings. Also you can design a ring , and have it made for her, of if you find a ring you like, but can not afford, copy it and see if you can have it made cheaper.

Letting the woman pick out her ring has gotten popular. But it depends on the woman. Is she the type who would want to pick it out herself or would she rather be completely surprised and love a ring you picked out yourself.

Look up jewelry stores that specialize or have a wide collection of art deco style rings from the 1920s. Really vintage yet so stylish.

Fay Cullen has LOTS of vintage rings to give you an idea. Their pricey but you can pick a look then find it somewhere else

Go to a reputable independent jeweler. You can have new diamonds and still have them custom design a vintage looking setting. My Fiance gave me an heirloom center stone and designed the rest of the ring to look very timelessly vintage. I love it!

I do not recommend online purchases. Some websites are not reputable, and even if they are, I’ve heard of them replacing the stones customers bought with lesser quality stones. Much to their surprise, they received cheaper stones than they paid for.

Just like there is no perfect woman, there is no such thing as a perfect ring. Save yourself a lot of misery and stay single.
